Finally, a day with good winds and fine weather, plus of course good food and company. Sunny and hot and with 12+ knts of breeze most of the day sailing without POD or carbons...

It was a great wind today but I didn't get out there. Tomorrow if the SW winds stay up we should head for Kariotahi after lunch. Low tide at 4 pm so should be ok after about 1.

Fantastic first day to kick off the champs. 36 races from 10.30 (delayed start waiting for wind to build to 7–8 knts) through until 3.40 when we called it quits.

A good nights sailing with plenty of wind for 6 races back to back. The last race got a bit slow at the end which meant we canned things at that stage.

Good and bad news. The good news is that we have enough signed up for 5 teams. The bad news is that it looks like we are going to have rain and maybe light winds with it...

A successful nights racing with about 15 knts to start, dropping a little about 6.30 and by race 8 we were down to about 8 knts which meant a halt to further starts.

This is turning out to be a tight race series with no-one clearly dominating the races on Sunday. Plenty of wind to start and the odd shower of rain.

20 knts rising to 35 in the afternoon. That was the forecast. We got 7–8 knts to start dropping about 2.30 to marginal for racing.

Sorry about the delay; Here they are, the Waitarere Marathon results. We raced in two weight groups, under and over 85kg.

Just goes to show that it isn’t the pre-start that determines the winner then! And that’s what counts! Please refer to the Twilight series scratch results pre-xmas.
