Discussion message ABC Race Results & 5m rools

The latest Winter Series race results are now posted on www.abc.gen.nz (Results tab). Many thanks to Russell for compiling them, and Ross for posting them to the web site. The Auckland contingent (Orca, Ross, Nick and me) managed some match racing using the new prototype 5 m sails in 3-6 knot winds today along with a few of the locals. We certainly had a sail even if the rest of the country didn’t have enough wind.

Discussion message RE: RE: Re packing bearings

Originally sent by: chris at team blokart Hi Brent and others Grease is best for maintaining the lifespan of the Stainless (SS) bearings. Inox lowers resistance but increases the need for maintenance. CRC is similar to Inox in effectiveness. Blokart endorses Inox as it doesn't drain away the grease in the bearings… if you haven't removed all the grease already… and is handy for lubricating/protecting the rest of the kart.

Discussion message RE: Akld Boat Show

Originally sent by: chris at team blokart Hi Peter I'm glad you are up to speed on the accessories. Don't forget the website has details of them too. Would you like to be on our email newsletter list which will keep you well informed on all things important with blokart? The show special is indeed a free 2.0m sail with any kart purchased – available from all dealers until Friday the 11th June.

Discussion message RE: Bay Blokart Race Day Sunday 2/4

Originally sent by: chris at team blokart Sometimes the sand but more likely the grass. No, NE can appear whenever! The Met Service has predictions etc (the science side of things is quite interesting) but the weather tends to have a mind of its own.

Discussion message RE: Bay Blokart Race Day Sunday 2/4

Originally sent by: chris at team blokart Hi Kris It is unlikely the beach will be any good unless the wind swings more easterly. But Ferguson Park in Tauranga should be a goer. Be careful in the strong winds, it's a lot of fun! but inexperience can result in unexpected incidents that won't be covered by warranty but probably ACC!

Discussion message RE: Sunday @ Raglan

Originally sent by: Daryl Hi Nigel Great to "meet" you. Waved my arm off . Raglan has been my stamping ground for the last 14 years – moved in to Hamilton about 12 months ago, but still sail reasonably regularly on the Raglan beach when I'm not touring the country. Sounds like I missed a ripper on Sunday. Pity, because I was going to take the kids out. I'll look forward to seeing you all there some time.

Discussion message RE: RE: Waikanae Wednesday

Originally sent by: chris at team blokart Thanks Barry. I went out in 40kts + on a park during a storm in a wetsuit – not recommended nor covered by warranty but an absolute blast! No damage done but then again perhaps I'm just gifted.
