Discussion message Raglan / still on

Originally sent by: Nicko Hi Guys, I will be heading out to Raglan about 1.30. So far we will have Alex, Roger, Tim, Grant and myself. The more the better, wind is reported to be a little lighter than first indicated but still at 15–19 Knots NW and then building on Friday ( hope it gets here earlier )it's worth a shot, Nigel. Nicko.

Discussion message RE: [blokart]Hamilton karters TODAY!!!

Originally sent by: Katrina Broadbent Hey Tim, What time today are you going out? Katrina Raglan was really good last week, we were there, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, with really hard sand right up to almost the sand dunes & low tides. Chris got up to 69.4 or something. We were on the base strip right by the road the week before & no-one said anything, maybe we were lucky, but then again its not the main carpark bit.

Originally sent by: Russell It's blowing!! 35+ Knts on the west coast at the moment. Bring 2 metre sails. Oh, that's right we don't have 2 metre sails. Looks like Hamilton karters are heading for Raglan, I imagine Muriwai and Piha will have some keen ones out. I'm heading to Kariotahi at 1pm as long as weather holds up.

Originally sent by: Chris Tobin Hi Don ! Where are Kariotahi and Ruapuke beach ? Been in Hamilton a while so go out to Raglan fairly often, but can be disappointed going so far if the wind isn't what's expected / hoped for.

Discussion message RE: speedos again

Originally sent by: kembro45 Nice work Marce, You got the same top as Finian on the windsurfer in France a couple of weeks ago where he took the world record. He was in 45–55knots though so you did real well. Were you on a broad reach? As i'm not sure of the beach direction at Raglan. I'll be out in the next storm after that magic 50knots. The 2m and POD will be on for future attempts in the high winds.

Discussion message Re: Auckland for weekend

Originally sent by: Russell The weather's not great, wet and the wind is predicted to go to the south. This is ok for Kariotahi but means tacking down the beach with a fast run back again. If there is not a lot of interest for today we can head for Bruce Pulman tomorrow where we get a decent sail even if the winds are light which is what is predicted. Will give an update tonight or tomorrow morning once I see what is happening.
