90 mile beach trip

Labour Day at Baypark

Auckland BPP Sunday 17 Feb
What a magic day! Trusty SW stayed around 12 knots with gusts to 20. Most used 3m sails but about 3 or 4 with 4m. |

Great wind, probably 17 - 18 knts with some gusts over 20. Everyone sailed 3 metres to start with one change to a 2 metre as the wind rose later in the afternoon. |

Thanks to the ABC crew for being out at BPP for some great background shots... it looked great seeing a good dozen or so Blokarts out there and the shadow was also filmed. |

Fantastic first day to kick off the champs. 36 races from 10.30 (delayed start waiting for wind to build to 7–8 knts) through until 3.40 when we called it quits. |

Yeah saw the weather forecast on Sunday night which said there was a gust of 77 km/hr at Cape Reinga so thought it might have been good at Tokerau. |
