Last Sunday race day
Ok, have done the results from the times taken by the start finishers. Very interesting! Who is blokart 3957? It is not a club race number and I have not received an entry form with this kart number on but it is listed in the lightweights division finish sheet. Anyone shed any light on this? If not will send out results without this kart included. |

Clean the sand and salt water out of your bearings for the first race day of the ABC Winter series this coming Sunday (22 April). The series will be held the 4th Sunday of every month, April - September, with the following Sunday being a back-up day if we have to postpone because of lack of wind. |

Auckland 100 km race - now Saturday
Forecast for the weekend is: "Saturday: Southwest 30 knots gradually easing to 15 knots. Showers. Sunday: Southwest 15 knots easing to 10 knots later. A few showers." Looking good for Saturday but maybe not Sunday. Therefore we will hold the "100 km Blokart Open" on Saturday at Kariotahi beach. This is different to the pairs race. The race will be 100 km over a 10 km course. |

Auckland Thursday night
It's a race series night tomorrow. Fine weather, E to NE wind, dropping a bit towards evening but at this stage we should be racing. We will again race in 2 divisions as we have over 30 entered for the series, same format as 2 weeks ago. Briefing at 5.50 and ready to race at 6. Any newcomers are welcome to do a single entry for the night but see me for an entry form before race starts. See you then. |

Re: FW: Auckland Sunday
Originally sent by: Russell The wind decided to arrive about the time we arrived at the beach and slowly got stronger throughout the afternoon as the rain squalls came through. 8 keen karters were there to enjoy the slow trip to the end of the beach (8 km) but also the exhilarating trip back with most people sitting in the 60 – 65 km/hr range for the length of the beach. |
