Great practice night last night in preparation for this weekends event. Good wind and about 12-13 zooming around the track, some racing some just sailing. Good to see Giovanni turn up for a catch up after an absence because of work, even managed to get him in a kart for a sail, the grin was back! The 3 metre sailors were as fast as the 4 metres around the track. Made for some interesting competition as it puffed in about 15 knts. The champs.

We had up to 80 entries including racers from Australia, Japan and United States. As well as Wellington, Hamilton and Auckland.

It would be great to kick it around when you have seen the track here and as to why the configuration is a Diamond has the dial-up area at the top (windward) end of the course. We only have one more set of crosses to place and the Prototype "BLOKART DIAMOND" Will be a reality. So let's see what you think.

Originally sent by: nonerd It's pretty apparent that besides from that one issue, the champs were well organised and well run and those who were able to attend had a ball. Having said that, the issue of 'National titles' is an important one and should be debated.

The old Tarago finally died in Ballarat and I had to arrange some transport to get the gear and me home. I will be posting results this afternoon and a run down of the Champs.
