It is indeed sad that John passed away. He joined the club at about the same time as me, and we both improved steadily.

Discussion message RE: What did you do today? Blokart Heaven for us!

Hey Paul, I hope you not suggesting that my mate Orca is that way inclined as I might take it personally. He has a certain preference for “roll your own”, but I suspect that this could be misconstrued too. He is partial to the odd ciggy (not ziggy) but a good blo-kart does appear to take his mind off the need for a smoke!

Hi Bruce, Thanks for the Omaha updates – yes, it saved a lot of us a wasted trip and a cleanup. At least you had a beach experience top-up – hopefully this will revive the memory for another couple of months until we get out on the beach again.

Discussion message RE: What is the top speed record for a Blokart?

Originally sent by: kembro45 G'day, I think for pb's (personal best's) the personal GPS is sufficient as they are all fairly accurate, within 1%. Integrity may have more varibles. We could use the same method as the water sailing speed recording method. They use 3 seperate forms of measurement, two onboard, one off, with three officials from the blokart Association to verify, at your cost.

Discussion message Re: Nationals

Originally sent by: kartman Hey Mike, Bryce I was thinking about planning a bit of a trip too. Perhaps we can put together a kind of blokart safari and combine racing events with other excursions. I would be willing to go for 10 days at least. I hear there is wicked Dry lake in Australia too, maybe we can go there too while we are in the neighborhood. Once the dates are set, we can try to put together some plans. Interested?
