USA Worlds 2009
Mike, Get the US Navy as sponsers for 2009,and it will be the best Worlds ever. Think of the advantages if they gave you an aircraft carrier. |

5.5s and wind speed

Auckland Sunday
The big advantage of a "weather bomb" is that you also get wind, something we haven't seen much of this year. |

RE: Lets keep a sense of humour here!
Hey Theo, Couldn’t find the photo attached, but I sailed a legal 7m blokart sail at the ABC champs in 2005 at Bruce Pulman Park. |

Re: BBC Race Day Results
Having come from a sport (windsurfing) where sail sizes went from 6.5m to 10m as technology changed and improved change is just part of a growing sport. Why do we all buy PODs? |

Re: BBC Race Day Results
Hi Richard, The local rule p[ermitted unter the IBRA will probably mean that a minimum wind speed will take dare of the 5. |

Auckland blokart
A good night to start the 2008 year at BPP. 10-12 knots of breeze from the right direction. About 20 turned up for the night with Orca showing his prowess with his new 5. |

Auckland Sunday
Great wind all day Sunday, rain to go with it but that didn't matter. Speed over the ground was a lot more important! |

My understanding is that the 5.5metre sail is not sanctioned for official race events - perhaps it should be? |

Interesting comments Paul. If the wind looked good I'd cancel BPP and bring down NZs top sailors to have a go and bring back the silverware. |

RE: Poll Results for "Batterns - what should be allowed?"
Yes it was fast Mike, but it should have been to your advantage, as it was closed at 1:30am our time, so I missed all the fun too - as did most people! |

pulley whip
You can shorten the pulley whip down to 350mm although most that I know of go to about 400. The advantage is that you can now get more tension on the leech(back) of the sail. |
