Whats up with BlownAway?

Hi Everyone,
Hey I thought is it’s a pretty good idea to give you a bit of an update with what’s going on with BlownAway these days. Well the major news is that I’ve decided to accept an invitation to work on a wildlife program in Costa Rica. It is one of those once in a lifetime opportunities so I’ve decided not to pass it up. So from the 31st of August I’ll be hand raising Macaws at the centre in San Jose. Early mornings, late nights and lots and lots and lots of poop! Then some time in the middle of September I’ll be moving out to the release site on the edge of one the costal wildlife reserves and releasing these stunning parrots back into the wild. Wow. The the release site and accommodation is actually up in the treetops, which is going to be really cool. Good thing I grew out of that sleepwalking thing eh? So the big downside is that I’m not going to be back in time for the Worlds. I’m really bummed about this but there we have it…

I’m still managing the NZ BoardStore full time at the moment. Its working really well in that I’ve scored myself a showroom for the blokarts and with the in-house sail table I’m pretty savvy at replacing blokart sail mast sleeves.

So if there is any way that I can help you before I split at the end of August then please let me know. A few people have already brought their sails in for repair. Likewise if you need any spare parts or upgrades in preparation for the Worlds then now is the time. Speaking of which, if you are considering the option of a 5.5m sail then grab one now ‘cause you’ll score a free ultra carbon base kit (base +3rd section). This ends on Thursday the 31st so give me a bell if you are keen (021 33 22 62).

It'll into October when i return and then it'll be all on for the leadup to Christmas. Bring on the Twilight Series!
