For those of you yet to check your calendar, Easter is early this year with Good Friday on the 21st of March. Upon checking out the http://www.classactionracing.com/ website, the Ivanpah event is Saturday March 29 to Thursday April the 3rd. So I would recommend leaving for the states on the 21/22nd of March for two weeks, to give some time beforehand to check out some of the east coast and the other lakes that Mike mentioned. (As to get there by Sat you would probably have to leave on the 27th at the latest – so you would only have two days at work after Easter – so might as well take them off too). Back to work on the 7th of April.
Mike – what is the weather like in March / April at Ivanpah? Is it at altitude?
P.S. School holidays start on April 19th to May 5 with ANZAC day on the Friday before the middle weekend.
