There might be some confusion over the Grants – following the Nationals we now have two grant3s.
Great that you guys had a chance to experience the track at it's best – I remember fondly the jibe corner when I first started sailing nearly a year ago – it was a 20 knot day and I nearly did a Paul on it, with the front wheel sliding towards the grass and the inside one above my head – and the corner was all gravel then! I don't even think the "Javier Hump" would have helped gain traction. But I went back for more.
Garry's knee must be playing up – or he is just suckering you two so you'll all be back next time we have a major event at BH, so you can "show us down under" that Team USA rules!
Sadly I'm heading north (and maybe I'll get a blast on the beach) and won't be there to help "team downunder" take on the challenge.
We had the first of our twilight series here in Auckland last night and had [perfect wind, and we sport a new member of Team ABC – John1! Great to have you keeping is honest John!
So Jim & Eddie, have a safe trip back, and we look forward to jamming with you both and the rest of the team in the not to distant future. Just keep up the practice, as you'll need it!
Cheers
Grant2 (aka saltydog)
