The word I got back from Garmin is that ver2.14 & ver3.x use different boards and cannot be upgraded

I'm not sure where Grant was looking... Or what model... Etrex? But the notes on the Etrex download are still as below:

What was your original version Brett?

Why don't you flash your new 2.14ver Don and if it don't work, try flashing the 2.14 back on and if that fails... They must have sent you a dud?
It is just software... Not like you are using a bigger battery or adding a turbo!

If anyone has had success flashing a ver2 with the ver3 firmware, let me know and I will give it a go too
