If you have the longer sail bags and dont remove your battens each time then the following method i find very efficient. With the mast and sail still up i remove the pully whip and place the free end into one of the middle mainsheet saddles on the sail, then pull the mainsheet tight. this keeps the pully whip and sheet from whipping around when the wind is blowing, remove mainsheet from block and then lift mast and sail out and lay on the ground with the head of sail to the wind, lossen sail battens, take head of sail and push mast out of turbin and with a quick pull of the sail the mast will slip out a short distance allowing you to roll the sail from the head as the mast is pushed out the bottom, this keeps the sail in total control the whole time, the mainsheet is then wrapped around the sail making a tight compact wrap. To assemble the mast is put together and then pushed into the luff pocket of the sail as it still lays rolled up (remove mainsheet wrap) with a gentle push the sail will unroll as the mast is inserted, Hope this is of some use to fellow karters. Regards Nicko.
