Subject: RE: [blokart] One make racing?Hi Paul,
Have been on away from work so a bit of a delay in getting back to you,
Thanks for the reply, to take a step back, the sails that I was compairing are both running the same batterns simmlar battern tension, & downhaul, I am awair the these will make variable differences to sail shape, but the new sails that are comming out of NZ seem to be quicker,
& have a different shape to those prevesly that came out of NZ. I am not disputing that your sail loft you guys have/ use is one of the most advanced in the world, but I have noticed some differences. Thanks again
See you in Feb Ben.

Subject: RE: [blokart] One make racing?Hi Ben,
Happy New Year
The original 3.0 sails were all cut off one set of patterns. The 3.0 and the 4.0 sail are now all cut on a CNC plotter as Kem guessed and lofted at one of the most advanced sail lofts on the planet. They are all the same. Where differences may become apparent is with people's setup. The trick lies in the combinations of; Batten tension, downhaul tension, out haul tension, wether or not a CRB is in there, or if the owner has tickled the batten thickness to induce more camber, how old the sail is, if it is new, ragged out or whatever! The probability is that the person who is cleaning you up, (if he is?), has done a combination of these things and he is not likely to tell you. The team at blokart work hard to deliver a consistent standard of Karts, sails and accessories. Sails cut by other lofts fall way outside the spirit of one design and will probably come back to he who has the most bucks wins.
We intend to be over in February so we will check you out then hopefully.

Subject: RE: [blokart] One make racing?Hi Kem,
Its hard to have an argument for keeping to blokart sails, as the cut in the sails that come from blokart are different in cut shape, as I have seen in my 4mt with other 4mts, so why not get a sail cut by another sail loft so long as its within size, as blokart cannot supply all sails the same.
See ya
Ben
