We are looking around... Paul and doing United Travel and I'm onto
Flightcentre. Looks like Auck to Perth is around $780 return plus taxes

and

departure. Then there are several options being looked at
– fly to Kalgoulie – $nz230 return
– catch a train – cost not yet known and connection time to be ascertained
– Hire a camper – $1200 odd for 6 birth (paul has been quoted $2000.00)
– Hire a shuttle van with trailer from Perth- cost still being checked ie

Plus baggage... funny thing, if we travelled East then we could have two
bags weighing up to 32kgs ea but travelling West across the Tasman then

The other thing, pricings has apparently changed, there are several prices
for the same seat and same service!!! And all depends when you purchase

ticket!! Yeah go figure again. In the window today Ak to Perth was $777

plus

tax etc, on the computer in the office it was $789 plus tax etc.
Flightcentre will give me some pricings tomorrow and will hold those

prices

for 24hrs subject to me confirming.

At this time I have the following Names of interested parties –

The Annual pilgrimage to Lake LeFroy in Kambalda, just out of
Kalgoorlie,(gold mining country) is on again! September 25,26 ,27 are

the

dates , but local Blokarters in WA are heading across earlier to get as

much

sailing in as possible. This is a WORLD CLASS VENUE! A massive, vast

salt

lake just made for awesome blokarting. Last year we sailed every day,

and

camped at the site. It was fantastic and should not be missed. To all

you

Blokarters over East, if you can possibly get time off and get over

here,

let us know and we can help organise transport etc. Kambalda is about 7

hrs

from Perth and a short drive from Kalgoorlie. It is like sailing on

ice.

We

will have slalom, course racing and of course a marathon. The

Kalgoorlie

Land Yacht Club kindly provide water, toilet facilities etc, but apart

from

that, it is free camping, so costs are low when you get here. Get out

your

maps and be prepared to experience Blokarting with a slice of REAL
AUSTRALIANA!
Guaranteed good time had by all. Families welcome – the kids will love

it.
