20 knts rising to 35 in the afternoon. That was the forecast. We got 7–8 knts to start dropping about 2.30 to marginal for racing. Finished 7 races while the wind was up, the last lightweight race being started twice after the wind dropped just after the start. The 5.5s showed their worth for the super heavies in these conditions with Dave and Orca having good speed against the 4 metres. The youth sailors joined in for their first race day and went well. A few more days and they'll be fighting for places. Haydn dominated the lightweights although not having it all his own way in race 2 with Ross only getting passed in the last 30 metres to the finish when he went wide around a back marker. 3 different winners in the heavy weights with John, Allan and Alex all getting to see of the chequered flag first after some close racing and lots of changes of places. Finished with some light wind "all in" races to keep everyone sailing although not consistent enough for official races. Results over the next couple of days.
