Thanks for the photos...
I will check out the beach (Muriwai) tomorrow morning - might need to bring my kart and do 20-30kms to really get a good idea (wind should be perfect tomorrow)
Generally the sand is a bit softer after a few days of stormy weather - but you never know...?

Looks like a slight change in forecast with the westerly now predicted to stay around until Saturday which would suit us. May be dropping in strength. Problem is that there will be big seas and the tidal range isn't great so may not have a huge amount of beach to play on.
Will update during the week.
