After two years of dropping my Foretrex 101 on the ground, blasting it with sand and sea water and shocking it by going over the BPP speed bumps, it still works fine. I also find the batteries last at least 5 sessions of blokarting. The 101 is cheaper than the 201 and its quicker and easier to replace the batties in the 101 than it is to charge the 201. You do have to be careful as Nick said not to rip the buttons out of the bottom of the unit with the main sheet. You can make new buttons by hole punching (with a standard office hole punch) some rubber from a inner tube and glueing the punched rubber back into the unit, its a perfect fit.
