blokarts bring the World to Papamoa

blokart Heaven Papamoa has been confirmed as the venue for the inaugural World blokart Championships, 28 September – 4 October, 2008.

Last minute cancellation of an Auckland venue frustrated efforts by the blokart Association to run the event in 2007, and caused delays in confirming a suitable alternative. However, organisers and international competitors are unanimous that the Home of blokart is the preferred venue for the inaugural event.

Contingents from the United Kingdom, Europe, United States, Japan, Middle East and Australia have indicated they will attend. Organisers estimate competitors may number close to two hundred.

The event is followed by the inaugural New Zealand Secondary School blokart Championships, 6 – 8 October.
