Jenny and I were understandably a bit concerned that our presence at an ABC beach blast might irk the Wind Gods so that’s why we kept a low profile with the 3s up on Friday. - But they got me anyway just to remind me that I should remain humble in their presence!

I have had some terrifying experiences out of control on beaches before but I have to say twice round – the second time airborne – was subduing for a while. Luckily it was all over so quickly and before I could absorb the shock. Remaining upright and facing the right way was the biggest surprise.

We thought the whole weekend was fantastic. As usual, your thoughtful planning and management made sure that there was a heap of competitive fun.

Highlight of the experience for me was being wheel to wheel amongst 30 dedicated go fast Karters.
