Short version: It works!

Long Version: While Chris and I at BPP where playing silly buggers, with our poor mans duce, and before Chris's little mishap (you had to be there to see me dragging him along on his side, all damage now repaired). I had a puncture in one of my Slimed tyres. It sprayed Slime gunge everywhere (all over Chis – hee hee) for about 6–10 rotations and then the hole was sealed, it was big! The tyre was still hard to the touch I guess it lost about 6 psi. I changed the tyre and put the "punctured" tube straight into the new tyre, pumped it up and carried on. Will be interesting to see if it holds pressure or whether I will need to patch it.

What about balance?

You can't statically balance the wheels, but one wheel I put it in had better dynamic balance with the Slime in it, so I think I would rather hiss and carry on, than a walk. In a race it would have made the difference between a DNF and finishing, not that that makes a great deal of difference to me yet :-)

The Slime we use:-http://www.dirtbike.co.nz/default.asp?pageid=1&Typeid=500&dataID=457
<http://www.dirtbike.co.nz/default.asp?pageid=1&Typeid=500&dataID=457> a bottle did all six of our tyres. From Slimes web site I used what they recommend for >55mph as this has less effect on balance.

BTW: Don't use Slime for tubeless tyres. The gunge is much thicker and will not spread quickly enough around the inside of the tube, that will almost certainly unbalance the wheel. The two products are very different!
