Subject: [blokart] 90 mile beach trip
What's happening?
Meet at the Top Ten 90 mile beach holiday park about midday Friday. Orca and I will make a decision on where we head (east or west coast) at 1 pm. Those who arrive after this time check with the office we will leave a message. Blokart all afternoon.
Suggest a barbeque Friday night, bring your own everything, there is a barbeque area for our use, plus all the kitchen facilities next door.
Saturday morning, head to Kauri Kingdom museum mid morning for a bit of local "culture" and morning tea at the cafe. This is a great way to find out a bit of history in the area and take back some gifts for Xmas.
Saturday about 1 pm will decide on venue for afternoons blokart action. Finish about 6.30, head back to showers and then a group dinner is booked at the camp ground, a spit roast at about $25 per head, for about 7.30.
Sunday, over to you, sight seeing, head home at your leisure, will probably need to be out of the cabins by 10 am.
Weather: fining up but not sure on what the wind is doing. Different forecasts are saying different things. Looks like wind on Friday, not sure of direction but is swinging to SE - NE direction over the next 2 days. Lucky we can use both coasts. Saturday is not looking great for wind at this stage but anything could happen in the far north. A nice sea breeze would be good. Take your surfboard just in case! Will get a better picture over the next 24 hours.
Have a safe trip up and see everyone Friday.
There is sailing at BPP Thursday night for the keen ones.
