Read on Peter - I approved her membership one day after the application - this is one of those unnecessary requests to unsubscribe - not a delayed application.
You'll can be grateful you normally do not get to see such admin messages !! - this is Admin msg #8936 for me since the site was established in Nov 2006 ! - but guess they all contribute to the continuing efficiency of the site.
I have retain "approval of new members" to minimise spammers - its mere presence seems to deter most !!
As an aside - I have put a temp stop on the automated "out of the office messages" being sent through the group.
