Greetings All,

Failing the previously planned Auckland Oct/Nov 2007 blokart World Cup we propose Japan as a viable location in April 2008.

Why?:

Bruce Pullman Park in Auckland New Zealand - is not on in 2007.

April winds howl here … have a look at this for tomorrow: http://www.mapion.co.jp/weather/admi/12/12202.html The 2006 April wind speed at 40m up was 6.7 m/s. On ground level it averages out to 4.1 m/s. That makes 4m and 3m sails a must have.

April has quiet days to but they are in a very far minority;

April does not conflict with other events in the Oct-Nov timeframe in NZ/AUS/Europe/US.

Locations proposed:

Hasaki Gyoko – Hasaki Fishing Port: See attached Hasaki Gyoko.kmz – Google Earth Location

Pending good sand -  Sun-Sun-Park; See attached Hasaki Sun Sun Park;

Alternative beach location – Ioka; See attached Ioka;

Alternative location – Makuhari; See attached Makuhari;

If you don’t have google-earth – get it here: http://earth.google.com/

That gives you all 12 months advance notice to sharpen your battens, clean your bearings and generally “sharpen your nose and Japanese”

Give us a heads up guys? Who’s on for the April 2008 Japan blokart World Championships ?????

I’m having trouble keeping up with media events. It’d be apparent from the last 2 months where we get Media, i.e Radio, Magazines, TV and newspapers on a weekly basis now, that we’d get a very good coverage for the April 2008 event.

Coming as a spectator is optional. Coming without a blokart …… You’d regret that for the rest of your life. (Full Stop)

Very Best Regards,

Jimi
