Looking good for Saturday but maybe not Sunday. Therefore we will hold
the "100 km Blokart Open" on Saturday
<http://blokart.jiglu.com/discussion/events/20070414> at Kariotahi
beach. This is different to the pairs race. The race will be 100 km over
a 10 km course. You can race as a pair (you decide your pair) or on your
own ( a bit tougher), or with a deuce (don't want to be the back guy).
The race officer will keep count of the laps. With the wind up we should
finish within 2 hours. This is a speed event! Be an interesting choice
of sails for some. I'm taking a 2 metre just in case!
Meet half a kilometre south of the parking lot (by my van) at 11 am to
fill in entry form. Race briefing 11.15.  Race start 11.30. No we
won't be waiting. $5 entry fee payable with entry form
<http://blokart.jiglu.com/discussion/tags/entry-form> at the start. No
change given!
Everyone welcome for this event. For those coming from afar you need to
turn off the Auckand/Pukekohe Rd and head to Waiuku where you will see
the sign for Kariotahi beach just past the town (turn left). It is then
about 10 minutes to the beach. You can drive onto the beach and drive to
the start area or set up on the grass area by the parking lot and sail
down. Be aware of the public by the parking area and surf club and sail
"sedately" (30 knts, year right!)Â past this area.
See most of you tonight and more of you Saturday.
