Sunday is looking good for a sail without rain. If there is a prediction of wind at Blokart Heaven then quite a few will head for Papamoa and the BBC race day after the AGM (10 am start). Richard will keep us informed.
For BPP we have a forecast of 15 knts SW dropping in the afternoon, fine all day. So could be good for a hoon around the Park but not suitable for the beach.
See some of you in the Bay of Plenty and a chance to catch up with our Wellington friends.

Hi All,

Wind forecast is not looking good at this stage the direction is great but the strength is not.  If any travellers would like a text tomorrow then let me know, there is meant to wind at sea but we will not know if the wind will make the land until on the day.  Remember race day will start after the BAI meeting so registration will start at 11am and racing as soon as we can after the BAI meeting.

Cheers

Richard

Hi Richard,

Thanks for the update.  I’m optimistic that we’ll have 8-10 knots WSW from midday.  For once on a Sunday I think the wind will be better at Blokart Heaven that Bruce Pulman Park.  So we so see a strong contingent from Auckland to size up the competition for the Worlds and see how much MORE practice we nee to get in!

It will be good to see what all this 5.5m stuff is all about and thanks to Paul for “ a quiver of up to 8 5.5m sails available in the show room” and for closing the track!  I’ll be bringing the wind gauge so we can get a good feel for what happens.

Remember to leave your 3m sails at home - then it will blow like stink! Failing that it will be theuce racing with three  5.5m sails and 2 sailors! Bring your deuce bars as insurance!

Cheers

Grant
