Looks like plenty of wind out there at the moment, hopefully it will hold for tomorrow for Winter Series Race day. Meet about 12 noon, those to register can do so then, gate closed at 12.30, briefing 12.50, race start 1 pm. Mid winter xmas and 100/50 km race prizegiving went well last night. Good food, good company, a good time. Photos are now on: http://picasaweb.google.com/smokin.russell/MidWinterXmas100And50KmRacePrizeGiving

See everyone tomorrow.

"TOP KNOTS" Palm Nth BC

Three "keen" members arrived at Himatangi beach around 11am to be greeted by a hail squall, beach access blocked by a change of direction of the stream,a narrow beach and much debris. The decision was made on a 10 min drive to Foxton, which turned out to be a good choice. After setting up in the car park the narrower than normal beach provided a good couple of hrs of hooning around amongst the wind blown foam and the odd washed up tree stump, and a large area at the river mouth was smooth and fast. With the threat of another squall at 2 pm saw a hurried pack up and away.

A good time was had by all.

The hails gone through so things are improving. Wind expected to be W – SW about 20 knts, maybe rising later on. All looking good at this stage. See everyone at BPP about 12, briefing at 12.50, race start 1. Everyone welcome, see me if you haven't yet registered.
